The Key Laboratory of egg processing of the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas was established with the approval of the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas, relying on the scientific research entities established by Hubei Shendan Health Food Co., Ltd. and Huazhong Agricultural University. We are committed to the research on the nutrition mechanism and technology of traditional egg products, reveal the basic quality changes and technological rules of eggs, develop new high-quality egg products, improve the key technology of egg processing, break through the development bottleneck of the industry, and promote the sustainable and healthy development of the egg industry.
The laboratory implements the "open, mobile, joint and competitive" operation mechanism. At present, there are 41 fixed technical personnel, including 4 professors and 3 associate professors. More than 80% of the staff have doctoral and master's degrees. Three laboratories are set up: 1) egg nutrition and function laboratory; 2) egg processing laboratory; 3) quality testing and evaluation laboratory. In recent years, the laboratory has authorized 20 invention patents, 14 utility model patents, 4 national standards, 3 industry standards and 4 local standards.
